PowerGuard

Havida PowerGuard (Patent Pending)

The PowerGuard series is designed to ensure stable and continuous operation of critical electrical systems installed directly on each fish cage. The solution consists of a distributed, cage-mounted, and autonomous three-phase power and control architecture that maintains the power supply to essential installations in the event of an external power failure.

The PowerGuard system consists of two main modules:

Together, PowerGuard Hub and PowerGuard Mega form the PowerGuard system, delivering local, autonomous power supply at the cage level.

By placing the energy reserve and control systems locally on each cage, every cage operates as an electrically independent energy cell. This ensures that underwater lighting, cameras, communication systems, and other critical electronics continue to operate without interruption, while eliminating the risk that a fault in one system will affect multiple cages.

The PowerGuard system is compatible with all types of installations and electrical systems used on fish cages.

To achieve full autonomous functionality and intelligent lighting control, the Havida Sense PDU is used as the local power distribution and control unit. Combined with the Solaris underwater lighting series—including Solaris 6K, Solaris 40K, and Solaris 80K – the system enables automatic dimming logic during backup operation. In the event of a power outage, the lighting level is automatically reduced in a controlled manner to maintain stable lighting conditions while optimizing the use of available battery capacity.

The PowerGuard series is specifically developed for demanding marine environments and modern aquaculture operations. The result is high operational reliability, stable lighting conditions that support fish welfare, and continuous access to monitoring and control systems—even during external power outages.
